Residents urged to complete London City Airport survey
30.09.10
Campaigners are urging residents to take part in an online survey - which closes today - into the impact of extra flights over east London. The Greater London Authority (GLA) is carrying out the poll as part of its investigation into the effects of an expansion in the number of planes flying above the capital.
The survey was launched after Newham Council gave permission to increase the number of flights from London City Airport from 80,000 to 120,000 per year in July 2009, although it is not thought to be using the increased limit yet. The survey is online at http://www.london.gov.uk/city-airport
