03.10.08
First it was Heathrow, then Manchester and now London City Airport is to be the focus of a flashmob protest. The protest will be held on October 8 at 17:45 outside Newham Town Hall, East Ham, with protestors wearing red t-shirts to 'tell Newham Council to scrap airport expansion plans'.
The flashmob will coincide with the planning meeting that will decide on increasing flights to and from London City Airport by up to 50 percent and is being organised by Greenpeace and local group Fight the Flights. For more information visit http://www.greenpeace.org.uk/
