AOA say WWF report misses the point on business aviation travel
17.05.08
WWF’s report paints a false picture of business aviation, the Airport Operators Association (AOA) says. Chairman of the Airport Operators Association (and chief executive at Liverpool Airport) Neil Pakey said: ‘WWF’s report does nothing to suggest that British businesses do not support airport expansion in the UK.'
‘Good airport infrastructure is vital to service the needs of businesses of all kinds. This can only be provided through sustainable expansion and improvement of our already overstretched facilities. New opportunities to do business through advances in technology are always to be welcomed. However, new international air routes in particular are crucial if Britain’s competitiveness in the global economy is to be maintained.’
