Man with false documents wanted to blow up passengers at Leeds Bradford Airport
30.01.08
A reader has told us of an incident at Leeds Bradford Airport where a passenger made threats to staff and other passengers after he was stopped by the Boarders and Immigration staff with suspected false documents.
According to our reader, a male passenger on a KLM flight from Amsterdam on Sunday evening produced false documents as he attempted to enter the UK. He was confronted by Immigration Officers at the airport, when he apparently started 'throwing his weight about and shouting things about Allah'.
The reader tells us that he has been told that the passenger went on to say he 'wanted to blow himself up and take everyone in the queue with him'. He was arrested and taken to a local Police station.
We have yet to receive a reply to our request to the airport for information on the incident. If you have any more information, please let us know.
