EUjet loses potential investors as parent company sells Kent airport
28.08.05
EUjet, the Shannon-based airline in examinership, suffered another blow to its survival plans last week when a number of potential investors backed out following the sale of a Kent airport by the airline's parent company.
British airport operator Planestation, which bought EUjet last year, sold Kent Airport for £17 million to Infratil, a New Zealand based company that also owns Glasgow Prestwick airport.
Planestation is currently in administration and its stock listing has been suspended. The examiner of EUjet, which is incorporated as EU Jetops, had been in talks with a number of potential backers interested in acquiring the troubled airline as well as the Kent airport.
