Cargo down 12.5% at Kent International Airport

Kent International Airport (Manston) handled 1,797 tonnes of freight in September. This was 12.5% down on the prior year, but 117% higher than a month earlier.
A statement from the airport said that MK and Egypt Air 'performed well' during the month. The freight processed also picked up considerably late in the month as produce imports to the UK accelerated as the local growing season wound down.
