Kent Airport summer flights in demand
10.03.08
Firefighters at Kent International Airport who bared all in the name of charity have raised nearly £7,000 for the Motor Neurone Disease Association, a cause close to the heart of organiser Mick Hill after his cousin Lucy, 25, died from the condition in April last year, only three years after being diagnosed with the disease.
The lads' racy photos in the fund-raising calendar has sent temperatures soaring among the hundreds of people who have purchased a copy. Mr Hill said: ‘I managed to recruit everyone from my shift, Blue Watch, and a couple of the other lads. Everyone at the airport was really supportive. I've also been taken aback by the support and generosity of people. I really want to say thank you to everyone who has bought one.’
Calendars are available at £7.99 plus £1.99 postage and packaging. To buy a copy, send a cheque payable to Mick Hill to RFFS, Kent International Airport, PO Box 500, Ramsgate, Kent, CT12 5BP.
