Heathrow Express staff strike

Staff working on the Heathrow Express train service have started a 48-hour strike. The company will operate half hourly services between 08:00 - 20:00 each day, with no trains outside of this period.
Members of the RMT union walked out at 03.40 this morning in a dispute over pay. Union officials say the 4.5% increase over one year offered by the BAA owned train service is 'unacceptable and loaded with strings'.
Heathrow Connect services, which also operate between Paddington and Heathrow, will not run today or tomorrow. Another strike will take place on June 24.
