Heathrow car park buses get £500,000 upgrade

Half a million pounds has been spent modernising the bus fleet that operates to and from Heathrow car parks. The buses ferrying passengers between all the terminals and long stay and business car parks now have GPS tracking technology and new information screens.
The new system will allow Heathrow to monitor journey times and punctuality, and make operational changes such as adjusting the number of buses on particular routes depending on traffic and demand. LED screens will also be installed at each of the 30 bus stops with live updates on next bus arrival and destination.
The fleet of 31 buses will also get a make-over with new flat screens inside to provide journey information, and in future short video clips of special offers and promotions from Heathrow, information on airport parking, news and entertainment.
