Heathrow seeks frequent fliers to join consultative committee

Heathrow Airport is looking for volunteers who fly through the hub at least 12 times a year to serve as members of the Heathrow Airport Consultative Committee (HACC), an independent statutory body which that is designed to ensure that the airport is run and developed in a way which has the passenger interest at heart.
Those selected will be expected to attend at least a one day meeting at Heathrow, at approximately two monthly intervals. They will serve on the Passenger Services Sub-Committee, which monitors day to day airport facilities, for a morning meeting and join the 40 member HACC for an afternoon meeting at which consultations, development proposals, operational matters, complaints and surface transport matters related to the airport are considered. The Committee is a prime forum for consultation by the Department for Transport, the Civil Aviation Authority, Transport for London and by BAA.
Appointments are be for a period of three years. Necessary expenses will be reimbursed and some car parking benefits are provided. Those short listed will be invited to attend an interview prior to appointments been made in time for the next Consultative meeting on 23 September.
