Heathrow night flight consultation delayed

The Government’s plans to delay a consultation in night flights at Heathrow while it consults on and then sets a new aviation policy for the UK. Aviation Minister Theresa Villiers announced yesterday that the Government will launch a consultation on night flights at Heathrow, Stansted and Gatwick in spring next year.
The Government will wait so that it can take into account views within its aviation scoping document. John Stewart, chairman of noise campaign group Hacan Clearskies, said: ‘We can see the logic in the consultation being delayed.’
