BA axe summer Libya flights
24.03.11
British Airways has axed its services to Tripoli for the rest of the summer. The airline said it had made the decision to scrap all of the flights due to the continuing political turmoil in the country, and in order to give its passengers certainty.
In a statement, BA said: ‘In view of the continued instability in Libya, we have decided to suspend our Heathrow to Tripoli service for the summer season. We will continue to monitor the situation in Libya with a view to resuming flights when safety for our customers and staff can be assured.’
Those booked on the airline’s services can claim a full refund, or use the value of the ticket to another destination.
