BA to resume flights to Libya
24.01.12
British Airways will restart flights between Heathrow and the Libyan capital Tripoli just over a year after it suspended the service due to violent clashes in the country. The airline announced yesterday that it will fly three times a week on the route from May 1.
BA suspended flights on the route in February 2011 as troops controlled by former leader Moammar Gadhafi clashed with protesters. The airline said it had decided to resume flights after discussing security matters with the British government and Libyan authorities.
