BA agree New Zealand cargo price fixing fine

British Airways has accepted liability for its part in a global airfreight price fixing cartel, agreeing to pay a $1.6million penalty in New Zealand. The airline was one of three to accept liability at the High Court at Auckland, which set fines totalling $14m.
Cargolux International Airlines of Belgium will pay a $6m fine while Australia's Qantas will pay $6.5m. The penalties have been agreed by all parties and will go before the High Court for approval on April 11.
