Virgin to hold Royal Wedding ‘street parties’ on flights
22.04.11
Passengers flying to the US with Virgin Atlantic on the day of the Royal Wedding will enjoy ‘street parties’ at 30,000ft to mark the big day. The airline will give passengers the royal treatment on flights from the UK to the USA and Caribbean on April 29 as cabin crew serve an afternoon tea with a slice of wedding cake in souvenir union jack lunch boxes. All passengers will also receive Kate and William themed love hearts and ice cream during the flight.
The cabins will be also dressed up in bunting, and seats will feature union jack-themed head rests. Each flight will also have a royal wedding themed dressing up box for the crew to take part in the onboard entertainment.
Simon Soni, Virgin Atlantic’s head of in-flight services commented: ’We are really excited to be doing something special for our passengers and crew on this historic day. We are hoping that these extra touches will make the flight really memorable.’
