Heathrow recruit 800 Olympic volunteers

Around 800 people have volunteered to be ‘ambassadors’ to welcome Olympics athletes as they land at Heathrow Airport. Airport operator BAA wants 1,000 people to help with special events, including the Olympics, Paralympics and Queen's Diamond Jubilee.
The volunteers will greet athletes, official guests and other visitors and control fans gathering at Heathrow. The airport is running a series of events to give those interested a chance to meet British athletes and learn more about the role. For more information visit the BAA website.
