Three arrested after 54kg Heathrow cocaine find

Three men appeared in court yesterday following the discovery of 54 kilos of cocaine by UK Border Agency officers at Heathrow Airport this week. The drugs, with an estimated street value of £2m, were found in freight on Sunday 7 February.
The trio were arrested in the St Mary’s area of Southampton on Tuesday in an operation led by the Serious Organised Crime Agency (SOCA). All three appeared before Southampton Magistrates yesterday charged with conspiracy to supply a Class A drug, and were remanded in custody.
