Heathrow unmanned car park transport pods start passenger trials

The unmanned ULTra personal rapid transit system serving business car parking at Heathrow Airport Terminal 5 has begun passengers trials, following a period of live testing with airport staff.
A spokesman told Railway Gazette International: 'Testing is going very well'. A full public service is expected to be launched by July, with 21 four-seat rubber-tyre unmanned pod vehicles operating 22 hours a day on the 3·8 km T-shaped network.
