Greece flights hit by strike

Airlines were forced to cancel flights to and from Greece yesterday when the country's air traffic controllers joined a 24-hour general strike. BA cancelled seven flights between Heathrow and Athens, with its flights between Gatwick and Thessaloniki were hit by long delays.
Ryanair cancelled its flights between Liverpool and Kos, but will operate additional services to carry stranded passengers today. easyJet also cancelled flights between Gatwick, Manchester and Liverpool to Greece
The airlines have warned that some flights today will be affected where planes and crew are out of position.
