A bomb threat note was found on a Virgin Atlantic plane that landed in Boston last night, boston.com reports. Law enforcement officials searched the plane, its 200 passengers and 16 crew members when they arrived at Logan Airport on the flight from Heathrow, but nothing suspicious was found.
The note was found in the bathroom of Virgin Atlantic Flight 11 from Heathrow. The flight arrived in Boston without incident at around 18:00 local time last night.. Nothing was found by State Police with dog units or FBI agents who searched the aircraft. Airport security staff also screened the bags of the passengers and crew, but found nothing.
A local police spokesman said that authorities did not believe the implied threat of a bomb to be credible, but added ‘they are investigating.’ He declined to further describe the note and what it said, other than that it mentioned a bomb.
