Heathrow car parks get electric car charging points

Heathrow Airport has installed electric vehicle charge points as part of a collaboration with Transport for London. Passengers with electric cars can now charge them at the short stay car parks at Terminals 1, 3, 4, and 5, which each having two charging points serving four parking spaces.
The new charge points are part of the Source London programme, recently launched by the Mayor of London, Boris Johnson. The scheme has already added 150 new public electric vehicle charging points to the London network and will deliver 1300 publicly accessible charge points by 2013.
