Baggage chaos as European airports hit by computer glitch
02.10.08
Thousands of passengers faced chaos last night after a computer glitch led to bags being lost at airports all over Europe. A problem with the software that tracks bags and links them to the passenger meant that passengers all over Europe were left trying to find out what had happened to their bags when they reached their destinations
Heathrow was among the worst affected as thousands of travellers arrived at destinations in Britain and on the continent to find their luggage missing. Gatwick and Stansted were also hit, and was Paris Charles de Gaulle.
