BA codeshare with Russian airline
02.02.11
British Airways and S7 Airlines of Russia have announced a codeshare on flights between Heathrow Airport and Moscow, as well as on domestic routes in Russia. The deal, which will begin on February 8, will allow passengers to book a complete journey on either of the airlines' websites and use codeshare routes to collect frequent flyer points. Some domestic Russian routes run by S7 and the airline's subsidiary, Globus, will use BA's codes and BA flights between Heathrow Airport and Moscow will use S7's code.
BA general manager Europe and Africa Gavin Halliday said: ‘Russia is an important market for us and we are pleased that our relationship with S7 is progressing. The codeshare with S7 will give our customers much better access to many more cities across Russia and help S7 customers take advantage of better links to Heathrow Terminal 5.'
