BA predicts ‘cyber Tuesday’
02.01.12
Tomorrow (Tuesday, January 3) is expected to be the busiest day of the year for visits to ba.com, with the airline predicting a 50% increase in usage as people return to work after the Christmas and New Year break.
BA is dubbing it ‘cyber surfing Tuesday’, the day when the return to the routine of work prompts mass online surfing for holiday and flight deals. Commercial director Andrew Crawley said: ‘The first day back at work always leads to a spike in visits to our website, and this year with the excitement of the London 2012 Olympics and an extra holiday for the Queen’s jubilee, we know planning holidays is going to be at the forefront of everyone’s minds.’
