Business group calls for airport expansion and no APD increase

The Government should abandon its opposition to airport expansion in the south east of England and scrap planned Air Passenger Duty increases, a report from the British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) says.
The group has said that failure by the Government to deliver a strong aviation policy will hinder jobs and growth and the coalition could either ‘mark time and meander its way on’ or develop a long-term aviation policy that boosts businesses and economic recovery.
