Guernsey Airport has busy festive season

Guernsey Airport had a bumper festive season, with the number of passengers arriving and departing through the airport between Christmas and New Year expected to reach 10,000, an 8% rise on last year.
Airport bosses say the passenger boost is down to Christmas Day and New Year's Day falling on Sundays, with bank holidays on weekdays meaning people can be away for a week without using a week's holiday. The mild weather means there has been no disruption to travel this year either.
