Passengers up 31% at Gloucester Airport
19.01.09
The number of passengers using Gloucestershire Airport was up 31% last month. Over 1600 passengers flew to the Isle of Man, Jersey and Belfast City, during December, pushing the annual total to more than 21 000.
Airport Director, Mark Ryan said: 'The growing success of these niche market, scheduled services is extremely encouraging, especially in the current economic climate. These flights have generated a dozen jobs at the Airport and there are many indirect benefits to the local economy too, as passengers use taxis, hire cars, hotels and other local services.'
' Our prime location and flexibility enables us to serve a wide catchment area efficiently and effectively. With online, one-way fares from £49 including taxes, free parking just minutes away from the aircraft and up to three flights per day, Manx2 can offer a unique service for the business or leisure traveller.'
