Glasgow – Stornoway flight emergency

A full-scale emergency took place at Stornoway airport after a plane flying in from Glasgow reported that one of its engines had stopped. Police, fire and ambulance services were called to the airport, but the Loganair Saab 340 aircraft landed safely using one engine.
The Glasgow to Stornoway flight reported the problem as it was coming in over the Minch. Passengers said the pilot and crew handled the emergency well, the BBC reports.
