Scottish airports expect busy weekend
27.06.09
Up to 270,000 passengers are due to pass through Scotland's three main airports this weekend, as schools close for summer. However, passenger numbers are expected to be down on previous years as families count the cost of the recession.
BAA said Malaga, Orlando and Dubai remained some of the most popular destinations for travellers from its three Scottish airports. A spokesman said: ‘We're looking forward to the start of a busy summer.’ Scotland's airports are also gearing up for an influx of visitors as the country plays host to a series of events, including the Scottish Open at Loch Lomond and T in the Park.
