Glasgow Airport pick music showcase winners

Glasgow Airport has announced the winners of its month-long Airplay live music competition. Over the last four weeks, 20 acts have performed sets live at the airport, entertaining passengers. Dundee based four-piece Our Future Glory claimed the top prize of £1,000. Scott MacDonald from Glasgow was named runner up.
The music event, the first of its kind in the UK, was run to celebrate the city's status as a Unesco City of Music and was run in association with the Academy of Music and Sound. Broadcaster Jim Gellatly, the host of the festival, said: ‘This was a celebration of new music and a recognition of the young talent emerging in Scotland.’
