Glasgow Airport parking machines won’t accept Scottish notes !
20.07.10
Glasgow Airport car park ticket machines do not accept Scottish money, the Evening Times reports. A reader who experienced a problem paying with a Scottish £10 note in the airports' short stay car park told the newspaper: ‘When I spoke to a man in the parking office I was told the machine did not recognise some Scottish notes.’
Parking at the airport is provided by NCP. A spokesman for the parking firm said ticket machines at Glasgow Airport recognised 'selected Scottish bank notes' - those most frequently used - but confirmed that some notes were not recognised. A spokesman for Glasgow Airport said he was not aware there could be a problem for customers paying for parking at the airport but said it would be investigated.
