Petition launched for return of Glasgow – Lahore flights

A campaign has been launched to restore direct flights between Glasgow and its twin city of Lahore in Pakistan almost a year after they were scrapped, the Evening Times reports.
Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) axed the route between Glasgow Airport and Lahore in January, citing concerns about viability and the lack of planes to service the route. Now Labour MSP for Glasgow Hanzala Malik is organising a petition to try to persuade the Pakistan Government and the airline to reinstate the route.
