Glasgow Airport braced for busiest weekend of year

More than 110,000 people will be flying out of Glasgow Airport during the next few days. As the Glasgow Fair gets under way, this weekend will be the airport's busiest of the year.
Francois Bourienne, commercial director at the airport, said: ‘The Glasgow Fair is traditionally one of the busiest times in the travel calendar and this year looks to be no different. Despite concerns over the credit crunch, holidaymakers seem determined to enjoy a well deserved break in the sun.’
