Canadian Affair, Scotland's largest tour operator to Canada, plans to fly up to 25,000 extra passengers out of Glasgow Airport next summer following the collapse of Zoom Airlines, the Evening Times reports.
The company plans to increase flights to Toronto and introduce services to Calgary and Vancouver, with fares as low as £129 one-way, including taxes and charges. It is a major boost to Glasgow Airport just weeks after the collapse of Zoom, which also operated flights to Canada from Scotland.
Canadian Affair currently offers six flights a week from Glasgow to Toronto during the summer, but next year it will offer nine a week. Also next summer the airline will launch non-stop weekly flights to Vancouver and to Calgary .Flights to Vancouver will operate over 26 weeks, while those to Calgary will run over 17 weeks.
Canadian Affair says the extended programme at Glasgow will mean flights for up to 25,000 extra passengers compared to this year.
