Loganair Glasgow Airport emergency
02.05.10
Emergency services were called to Glasgow Airport after a Loganair plane was forced to make an emergency landing. Strathclyde's fire service said it took a call from the airport reporting that a ‘full emergency accident’ was ‘imminent’ at about 16:20 yesterday. The captain of the plane, which took off from Stornoway, is said to have reported technical difficulties.
The aircraft, which was carrying eight passengers and three crew, landed safely. No-one was hurt. The plane was escorted to the terminal by rescue vehicles after landing and engineers were working to establish the cause of the problem.
