Monarch enjoy record month

Monarch is celebrating a record breaking month after carrying almost 460,000 passengers on scheduled flights in July 2008, up over 5 percent on a year earlier and the highest number of passengers it has ever carried in any month.
The record passenger numbers have been aided by the recent launch of new routes from Gatwick and Manchester to Larnaca (Cyprus) and from Gatwick to Menorca.
Monarch's scheduled services during July 2008 carried 459,914 passengers, up 5.09% on a year earlier, with a load factor of 86.15%, up 2.67 percentage points. Its internet sales percentage was 89%, and overall, for both scheduled and charter services, Monarch carried a total of 826,815 passengers during the month.
