Small travel company goes bust

The press is awash with news that ‘a second British holiday company has gone bust’ today. However, unlike XL that left 85,000 abroad, K&S Travel left just 150 stranded.
The CAA, the aviation regulator, said yesterday that tour operator, K&S Travel ceased trading on Saturday. Press officer James Hotson said its customers' return trips are covered by a bond. The group specialized in travel to Turkey.
He said: ‘It's a very small operation, there are 150 passenger currently overseas. They can continue their holidays as normal. About 400 people with reservations would have their vacations cancelled and receive full refunds.’ (This compares to 200,000 with advance bookings with XL).
K&S's telephone line was dead on Sunday, and the company's website was down.
