Monarch to operate Gatwick – Tobago flights
10.09.08
Monarch is to take over operations of a transatlantic connection linking Gatwick to Tobago, The Tobago News reports. Tobago tourism secretary Neil Wilson revealed to the newspaper that Monarch plans to operate an Airbus 350 on the route, which is capable of carrying 350 passengers.
XL Airways has been operating the route from Gatwick to Crown Point for the past four years, but is withdrawing the service at the end of November to focus on its more lucrative link to Miami. But travellers will be able to continue using the route from mid-December thanks to Monarch.
