BA to move Atlanta flights from Gatwick to Heathrow

British Airways announced that it will move its Atlanta flights to Heathrow from Gatwick starting Sunday, March 29, 2009. The move to Heathrow, made possible through the Open Skies agreement between the USA and EU, will provide Atlanta passengers the experience of arriving, departing or connecting through Heathrow's Terminal 5.
BA operates a daily evening B777 flight from Atlanta Hartsfield International Airport to London that arrives the following morning. Return westbound flights from London depart in the early afternoon and arrive back at Atlanta the same afternoon.
The airline will also up flights from Heathrow to Dubai from 14 to 20 each week from March 29 and from May 1 it will increase flights to Johannesburg from 14 to 19 each week. It will also move Toulouse services from Gatwick to Heathrow Terminal 5 from March 29.
