Lufthansa announce Gatwick – Frankfurt flights

Lufthansa has announced that it will launch a new service between Gatwick and Frankfurt this winter, the airline’s eighth destination in the UK and third London airport. The new twice daily flights take off on 30 October, at the start of the winter 2011 / 12 flights schedule.
The flights will be operated using 120-seater Boeing 737-500 aircraft in a two-class configuration. With this additional service, Lufthansa will operate a total of 111 weekly flights to Frankfurt from Gatwick, Heathrow and London City.
