Cadogan plan business class Canaries flights
05.07.08
Cadogan, the tour operator, has created its own ‘Cadogan Class’ on a bmi aircraft to provide the only premium service to the Canary Islands this winter, TTG reports. The upmarket holiday company has chartered a 195-seat Airbus A321 from bmi. It will use it initially on six departures from Gatwick and Manchester in December.
Most of the seats will be sold as standard class through Cadogan’s sister-company Teleticket, but the 18 seats in the front three rows will have a service equivalent to club class. A premium service has not been available on flights to the Canaries since GB Airways was sold to easyJet, leaving customers with a choice of only charter flights or scheduled flights with no-frills airlines.
The A321 has a 32-inch seat pitch throughout, but Cadogan Class will have a 30kg baggage allowance, dedicated check-in, use of executive lounge, upgraded in flight meal with wine, and complimentary bar service.
