Big cocaine find at Gatwick Airport

A woman has been charged with attempting to smuggle 12 kilos of cocaine with a street value of £480,000 into the UK via Gatwick Airport. She was arrested last Sunday after arriving on a flight from Antigua.
UK Border Agency officers at the airport’s South Terminal found the drugs packed inside a suitcase. The woman was charged with attempting to import a class A substance. She appeared before Croydon Magistrates’ Court this week and was remanded in custody until December 5.
