easyJet announce new Gatwick – Istanbul flights

easyJet announced its 400th route today. The airline will launch flights between Gatwick and Istanbul on 12 December 2008, with fares from £35.99 one way including tax. The new route brings the total number of routes from Gatwick to 51 this winter.
The airline expects over 100,000 passengers to travel on the new service in the first 12 months. It is the fifth new route to be added to the airline's Gatwick base this winter (added to previously announced Lyon, Basel, Helsinki and Salzburg). The announcement of the new service means that easyJet currently has 400 routes on sale across its network.
David Osborne, UK General Manager, said: ‘easyJet has seen a huge increase in flights to ski and sun destinations this year.'
