Emergency landing at Edinburgh Airport

A plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Edinburgh Airport yesterday following a ‘serious’ medical emergency with one of its passengers. A man was taken to hospital after the Delta Airlines Boeing 767 landed in the capital at about 13:30.
The full flight of 216 passengers and 11 crew had been flying from Gatwick to Cincinnati when it was diverted. The plane continued on its journey once it had refuelled at about 15:30.
