Spanair announce Edinburgh – Barcelona flights

Edinburgh Airport will once again be linked to Barcelona after a new route was announced to fill the hole left by the demise of Flyglobespan. The new five-times-a-week service, which begins on May 21, will be operated by Spanair.
Gordon Dewar, managing director of Edinburgh Airport, said: ‘It is only right that Edinburgh and Barcelona - both major European cities - have a direct link between them. I'm delighted that Spanair has identified the business and leisure demand for the service and I welcome this move.’
