Edinburgh Airport drug smuggler jailed

A drug smuggler caught with more than £20,000 of cocaine at Edinburgh Airport has been sentenced to 20 months in jail, the Evening Press reports.
Bartosz Kargul, 26, from Lublin in Poland, was detained by officers from the newly formed UK Border Agency (UKBA) after arriving on a flight from Brussels in May. He was sentenced at Edinburgh Sheriff Court yesterday after admitting attempting to smuggle over half a kilo of cocaine, with a street value of £23,741, into the country by concealing it internally in his body.
