Passengers up on Edinburgh – Wick route
08.11.11
The number of passengers using direct flights between Wick and Edinburgh airports has risen significantly compared to last year. Loganair has seen a 20 percent increase in passengers using the service between Caithness and the capital, and is set to continue its six-day service throughout the winter months because of the demand.
Roger Hage, Loganair’s director service delivery, said that the airline is delighted to continue providing a service that meets the needs of the area. He said: ‘The growth in passenger numbers shows that the link is a valuable one, so we are pleased to confirm that it will continue into the winter season. This service ensures that the communities in Caithness remain well connected, as well as helping to sustain the area’s ongoing progress in becoming a centre for business development.’
