Edinburgh Airport seek banners permission
08.07.08
A series of advertising banners promoting everything from major international rugby matches to the benefits of its car parks are set to go up at Edinburgh Airport, the Evening News reports.
BAA have applied for planning permission to put up 11 of the hanging banners, each three metres high, that would be attached to lamp-posts around the main terminal building. The banners would be used for ‘a variety of marketing and promotional purposes’, with events such as international rugby matches at Murrayfield and the Edinburgh International Festival given as two examples, the newspaper reports.
The plans indicate that the banners also may be used to remind people about the benefits of the airport's multi-storey car park.
