Durham Tees Valley gains Norway link

New flights between Durham Tees Valley Airport and Norway are being launched.on Monday. Eastern Airways will operate the early-morning weekday flight to Bergen, via Aberdeen.
The launch is a boost for the airport, which last year was hit by cuts in services by some budget operators that saw passengers drop by 53%, with jobs cut and the airport's operating hours scaled back. Roger Hage, ground services manager at Eastern Airways, said the new flights were aimed mainly at business travellers working in the oil and gas industry.
