Ryanair cut Durham Tees Valley flights

Ryanair is axing its service from Durham Tees Valley Airport to Alicante in Spain from mid-December for the remainder of the winter. It currently operates the service three times a week. The airline will resume flights to Alicante and to Gerona in the summer.
A spokesman for Tees Valley Airport said: ‘Obviously we are disappointed that Ryanair have decided to withdraw the Alicante service from mid-December for the rest of the winter but, of course, all airlines are currently reviewing their operations in the light of very difficult conditions facing the industry and the economy as a whole.’
